New Cub Scouting Program
January 17 Webcasts on the New Cub Scouting Program
A new Cub Scouting program is launching June 1, 2015 that will be more fun and exciting for boys, and easier to implement for unit leaders. To ensure you are ready to make the transition, a number of webcasts will be hosted on January 17 to outline the coming changes, how to prepare, and when resources will be available.

- Saturday, January 17, at 4:30 p.m. (Central)
- Saturday, January 17, at 11 a.m. (Central), or
- Saturday, January 17, at 6 p.m. (Central)
* It is recommended that those interested in the LDS session view one of the role-specific sessions first.
Although the content will be geared to the roles listed, anyone with an interest in learning about the new Cub Scouting program is welcome to attend.
The sessions will be recorded for later viewing.

2017 National Scout Jamboree
Applications for Volunteer Leadership for the 2017 National Scout Jamboree
The Northeast Georgia Council Jamboree Committee is now accepting applications for 2017 National Scout Jamboree Troop and Crew leaders. The deadline for registration is January 16, 2015.
The 2017 National Scout Jamboree is again expected to be inviting both Scout Troops and Venturing Crews. To have a successful Jamboree for all interested Scouts and Venturers, the council needs qualified and committed adult leadership beginning planning and promotion in early 2015.

2015 World Scout Jamboree
Would you like to be a part of the BSA contingent
to the 2015 World Scout Jamboree at no cost to you?
Tuesday, July 28, to Saturday, August 8, 2015 In Kirara-hama, Japan.
Sponsored by Troop 62 of Cumming, GA in partnership with the Lotty Fern Durden
World Scout Jamboree Fund and the NEGA International Committee.
We will select one Scout or Venturer to participate with a BSA contingent to the World Scout Jamboree. Eligible participants must be registered with the Boy Scouts of America as a Boy Scout or Venturer and be born between July 27, 1997, and July 28, 2001. These age ranges are set by the World Organization of the Scout Movement (WOSM) and are not flexible. Verification required.
Applications are due by Monday, November 17, 2014
Finalists’ interviews will begin in December 2014
