boyscoutlogoBoy Scouting is a year-round program for boys 11 through 17 designed to achieve the aims of Scouting through a vigorous outdoor program and peer group leadership with the counsel of an adult Scoutmaster. (Boys also may become Boy Scouts if they have earned the Cub Scouting Arrow of Light Award and are at least 10 years old and have completed the fifth grade and are at least 10 years old.)
varsitylogoA Varsity Scout is a young man who is a registered youth member of a Varsity Scout team. Varsity Scouting is a part of the Boy Scouts of America for young men who are at least 14 but not yet 18 years old. The unit is a team; the unit leader is a Coach. Emphasis is on advancement, high adventure, personal development, service, and special programs and events.
OAlogoOrder of the Arrow (OA) is the national honor society of the Boy Scouts of America (BSA). It uses American Indian-styled traditions and ceremonies to bestow recognition on scouts selected by their peers as best exemplifying the ideals of Scouting. The society was created by E. Urner Goodman, with the assistance of Carroll A. Edson, in 1915 as a means of reinforcing the Scout Oath and the Scout Law. The goal was to establish these as lifelong guidelines, and to encourage continued participation in Scouting and camping. Influenced in part by camp traditions, and Indian folklore, the OA uses "safeguarded" symbols, handshakes, and ceremonies to impart a sense of community.
Venturing is a year-round program for young men and women who are 14 (or 13 years of age and have completed the eighth grade) through 21 years of age to provide positive experiences through exciting and meaningful youth-run activities that help them pursue their special interests, grow by teaching others, and develop leadership skills.
Sea Scouting is adventure on sea and land for you. Sea Scouting is a co-education program offered to young adults between the ages of 13 - 21. It's a chance to learn and have fun at the same time.
Nestled deep in the Northeast Georgia Mountains, among miles of Hiking Trails, Whitewater rivers abundant, we have several High Adventure programs available. We offer the perfect opportunity for you to experience the ultimate in excitement. In the summer we offer week-long programs, weekend programs are available for the remainder of the year.
